HGV at the Flamingo needs work

As an HGV owner, have been staying at HGV at the Flamingo for years and cannot help but notice a few deteriorations. Rooms are fine-comfortable. Don't even mind the loud music from the Go pool. Location is great! Areas for improvement: pool bar closed during the pandemic and was never brought back-epic fail because people come to have fun and enjoy cocktails around the pool. BYOB is fine but not the same experience as having cocktails served. Martina is long gone but she was phenomenal. Find another Martina! Thee odor from the grease pit at the Flamingo is horrible around the pool. My husband did a look see and noticed the cover for grease trap is cracked and emitting horrible odor. Pressure needs to be put on Flamingo to get that repaired. The stench is unbearable at times. Health violation I am sure. No restaurant on sight which is fine but the snack shop is only open until 1:30 in the afternoon! Needs to be open all day. And Sharon in the snack shop needs to get a personality-soooo rude and unwelcoming. Please Hilton-step up your game. As owners, we pay a lot of money for your resort packages. This does not feel like a resort at all anymore-just a conveniently located hotel.

We stayed in two 2 BR units. It was perfect for our family trip! Location is perfect. The units were clean and comfortable. Beds were great and kitchen has all the needed items. Parking is across the driveway. Handicapped parking is right outside the main door. The resort staff was very kind and helpful! We will stay here again!

Perfect hotel for a quieter stay in Vegas. It was much nicer than the ‘wild party scene’ of the flamingo next door. The rooms were lovely and big, comfy bed, great showers, kitchen adequate but only had a microwave to do any cooking. Everything was spotless, lovely and quiet. Pool was beautiful unlike the one next door. Very short walk to the strip just a couple of minutes. Good parking, good check in / check out - no queues. Would definitely recommend for those who like a more grown up feel and not looking for the alcohol infused pool party!

If you want calm, convenience and a good deal...this gem is next to the Flamingo hotel but a block off the middle of the strip. It is ideal for "older" guests. You can walk to many restaurants and sites on and off the strip. There is no casino (therefore no cig smoke) inside so the lobby is uncongested with quick access to the desk. All staff were remarkably friendly and welcoming, offering 2 free bottles of water daily and a discount card for various restaurants/sites. We used it to visit the mob museum. The pool is small but we never saw it packed, plus you have access to the Flamingo party pool which plays loud music from ~10am-5pm. It was heard from our room but easy to tune out and not disruptive. I think most rooms are suites with a kitchenette and usual appliances including a washer and dryer. There is a sitting space next to it with a sofa bed and large TV. The bedroom is separate with a large bathroom with 2 separate sinks and huge jetted tub. Housekeeping is sparse since it's considered a resort not a hotel. We're green and didn't need anything for a 3 night stay although housekeeping did offer service once. All Uber pickups are at the Flamingo area which is less than a 2 minute walk from the lobby thru the pool, longer from outside the lobby front. However, a few may drop you off at the front. Once you're acclimated, you may ask the driver to make a quick right turn toward the lobby before arriving to the Flamingo drop-off. Since there are many Hiltons, BE SURE to select the one associated with the Flamingo Hotel on the app. Give yourself extra time when using Uber at dinner time. The nice restaurants [Fleming's and Redwood Steakhouse (awesome cioppino!!!!!)] we arrived at between 5-545 had many tables open. I'm sure the famous ones are busier at that time. There is a marketplace offering various small items including a few flavors of Starbucks coffee. I didn't see a bar so not sure if available. Now, a BIG tip for ladies. Be sure NOT to let their hairdryer touch you if you're wearing a shirt made of thin acrylic or similar material. My wife did that and burned a few small holes in her shirt, BIG tip, no? :) As a retired couple, we wanted a calm setting with great access to many sites. A relatively good rate was a bonus. We were very impressed with this Hilton and plan on staying here again. Cheers!

The resort was a quick walk to the strip. The unit was very clean and spacious. We order groceries from a nearby grocery store and had them delivered with no issues. Staff was very courteous and helpful.
